In 2018, Takiya founded Divine Writing & Consulting Solutions, where she serves as the Chief Executive Director. As a grant professional and development consultant with over fifteen years of experience, she specializes in grant writing, development, resume creation, content writing, and business planning. Takiya holds certifications as a grant writer, paralegal, and professional/personal development coach, reflecting her diverse expertise across nonprofit and administrative sectors, including roles in hospitality, insurance, and legal fields. Beyond her professional roles, Takiya dedicates her time to mentorship at Ansonia Middle School and facilitates professional development workshops at Ansonia High School. Through her dedicated efforts, not-for-profit organizations and small businesses have achieved substantial growth, expanding their budgets, capacities, and overall influence by securing more than $40 million in funding. Takiya's impactful areas include education, workforce development, mental health, arts and theater, clean energy, and youth mentoring. Her outreach extends to a diverse range of organizations, from local community-based initiatives to regional, state, and national entities, all of which serve underserved communities. Takiya is an active member of the Grant Professionals Association and the Greater Valley Chamber of Commerce. She is also a proud graduate of the KNOWNpreneurs Business Growth Accelerator program in New Haven, Connecticut, as part of the Q2 cohort 2021 and the Nasdaq Entrepreneurial Milestone Circles Program in 2022.
