Cynthia has over 30 years of professional working experience in both for-profit and nonprofit sectors. She has served as the Executive Vice President of the Urban League, Chief Development Officer for a New York cultural center, Financial Analyst for the Bank of New York and Ocwen Financial, and Academic Program Director for various colleges and universities.
She currently serves as a faculty member for a Florida-based college. She is also a proud veteran of the United States Army.
Tiffany joined the DWS team in June of 2021. She is the CEO of BirthWrite Consulting Group and is a writer who has helped many with their writing needs. Equipped with degrees from both Howard & Harvard University, Tiffany’s writing has been featured in multi-million dollar companies and in grants that have resulted in multi-million dollar funding. Tiffany uses her gift of writing to help others use their voice without losing it through guidance on writing a book, grant writing, copy & proofreading, along with curriculum writing.
Becoming a writer truly opened her eyes to the power of stories. Before becoming a writer, Tiffany says she had a story but wasn’t the one writing it. The literal and figurative action of picking up the pen is when things changed for her.
She’s an educator turned entrepreneur who had a successful career in education working with NYC public schools and decided she wanted to work for herself. She is also the Founder of The Educator’s Promise. A nonprofit organization focused on education equity. A woman of many ideas, Tiffany says her first passion is in writing. She is the author of two books, “Jewels From a Black Diamond” and “No Saving Me for Later.”
Her work is meant to inspire, heal and motivate people to live life with purpose.
Pearl Walker joined the DWS team in May of 2021. She is a native of Oakland, California, and was raised in Houston, Texas. She has over 17+ years of professional experience in legal drafting/writing, proofreading, copywriting, and editing.
After receiving her undergraduate degree in Communication & Culture from Howard University in 2003, Pearl moved to New York City to pursue her interest in the legal field as a paralegal. There, she worked for a top-tier firm focusing primarily on White Collar Defense crime.
Later, Pearl relocated to Chicago, Illinois, where she continued work as a litigation paralegal but eventually returned to Houston, where she explored other avenues of interest such as recruiting, website development, content writing, and management.
Outside of the office, Pearl is a certified yoga instructor and enjoys outdoor adventures, traveling, and spending quality time with family and friends.
